The cylinder body provides flat, even contact across the nail surface, while the rounded tip prevents sharp-edge gouging at the transition between nail plate and surrounding skin. Manufactured by KMIZ — a medical instrument factory established in 1931, producing on Swiss Rollomatic CNC equipment with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certification.
- Fine diamond abrasive delivers uniform, low-aggression material removal across the full length of the cylindrical working surface. Unlike tapered shapes such as flame or cone, the straight sidewall maintains consistent contact width throughout the stroke, producing an even finish without ridges or uneven spots. The hemispherical end allows smooth transitions when the bit moves from the nail plate onto adjacent skin or cuticle margins, reducing the risk of accidental cuts or scratches.
- Used for surface preparation of the natural nail plate before applying gel, acrylic, builder base, or prosthetic overlays - removes shine and creates a uniform micro-texture for better product adhesion. Also effective for smoothing ridged, deformed, or uneven nail surfaces. In pedicures, treats minor calluses on lateral folds and the skin surrounding the nail bed.
